The College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) annually collects information on higher education employee salaries and aggregates them for external benchmarking. MSU compares employee salaries to those at other public doctoral institutions. The optimal viewing of visualizations is on a full computer screen.

Requesting Public Employee Salary Information

Under Montana public records law, certain Montana State University employee information is public and available upon request. This includes an employee's name, position title, dates and duration of employment, salary, and claims for vacation, holiday, or sick leave pay. All other personnel records are confidential, and access is restricted to protect employee privacy.
