Jabs Hall Room 207

  1. Jabs Hall Room 207 will have its furniture configuration formalized and the podium relocated
  2. Will remain a Registrar-controlled instructional space
    1. Priority scheduling will go to the Jake Jabs College of Business and the new Master’s program cohort
  3. Funding for the project is not coming from the Classroom Priority List

2021 Instructional Space Modernization Priorities

  1. John How presented the Priority List, organized by Classrooms, Instructional and Computer spaces - not in order of priority to receive funding
  2. The funding amount has not yet been determined
  3. Design will be undertaken once the President has approved the Priority List
  4. The four rooms listed in Haynes were originally one room, and the single room was subdivided over the years
    1. CPDC would like to remove the walls and create new efficient spaces: including a classroom, a room for graduate student use, and gallery/storage space
    2. The new rooms will be Registrar-controlled spaces
  5. CPDC would like to upgrade Cobleigh 429, reorient the space and install new furniture
    1. IT is planning to install new technology that could be reoriented with the upgrade
  6. The Priority List includes Roberts 101, previous design work suggested it be removed as a classroom and renovated into a student-use zoned lounge space
  7. Leon Johnson 346 is currently designed as a small terraced auditorium with limited ADA accessibility
    1. Classroom Committee suggests that the room is leveled if possible
  8. CPDC suggests Herrick Hall 117 is updated and reoriented lengthwise
  9. CPDC suggests Linfield 113 be updated including new furniture and investigated to improve efficiency by potentially removing or redesigning the tiers
  10. Roberts Hall rooms 109, 110, and 111 are computer labs prioritized for upgrades
  11. CPDC is seeking a recommendation from the Classroom Committee to approve the Priority List
    1. If the Priority List is fully approved, once funding is solidified CPDC will come back to the Classroom Committee to help determine which spaces are prioritized
    2. UIT noted that they would typically request funding to support the projects, however for 2022 the IT budget will need to come from the 2021 Instructional Space Modernization Priorities fundin

Tony Campeau moved to recommend the Priority List, and notes that the list is not in order of priority for funding

The current lectern in NAH 165 was bought to serve as a teaching station and UIT will be replacing the lectern with movable equipment carts to better meet the needs of the faculty
