I work with our peer tutors to create, maintain, and grow the learning community of our Writing Center. I love our multi-disciplinary space and the way that writing connects so many people across campus.
Before moving to Bozeman in 2003, I was a student and a teacher in Utah, Massachusetts, and Michigan. Since coming to MSU, I’ve taught a variety of seminars and writing courses (most recently, creative writing), and I’ve immersed myself in the diverse, collaborative work of the Writing Center. I’m grateful to get to spend most days reading, writing, and talking with people about reading and writing.

What I love most about being part of the Writing Center team is the shared commitment to the mission, welcoming atmosphere and thought-provoking discussions that spontaneously occur on a daily basis.
My educational background is varied, with a B.S. in Outdoor Recreation from Southern Illinois University, a B.A. in Spanish from MSU, and an M.A. in TESOL from the SIT Graduate Institute. I have taught English and/or trained teachers of English in Vermont, South Africa, Connecticut, California, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan, and Montana. At MSU, I also have the privilege of teaching CLS101.
